Time will fuse at the 2018 Reykjavík Arts Festival in this year’s largest event. The people who populated Reykjavík in 1918 will appear all around the city to gaze directly into our eyes, a hundred years later.
R1918 is a large participatory project which began with a series of short, daily radio broadcasts at the beginning of the year and will reach its climax in a performance taking place on June 10th in the centre of Reykjavík, with the participation of almost 200 residents of the city.
Artistic Team of city-wide performance: Ágústa Skúladóttir, Þórunn María Jónsdóttir & citizens of Reykjavik
Radio Production: Starfsfólk Landsbókasafns - háskólabókasafns, Bjarni Jónsson, Úlfur Eldjárn, Þorgerður E. Sigurðardóttir & RÚV.
