A large group of adults and children dance together with buzz in their ears, stereo of sound and steamy fog. Splashing in puddles with bleeding noses, they live in another world where they are never invisible. Spinning round and round – holding hands – the whole world a blur.
An indoor square in Seltjarnarnes becomes the venue for The Great Gathering which was first performed at Norður og niður, Sigur Rós’s Arts Festival at the end of last year. The piece is performed by Iceland Dance Company dancers and a group of 9-16-year-old children to music by Sigur Rós, Gus Gus, Hot Chip, Jarvis Cocker, Peaches and more.
